EDLD 5352 Web Conference Reflections

I actually did it.  I have participated in Web Conferences before; but, this was the first time I used the Web cam.
Major Lesson :  Wear my glasses.  Forget vanity.  To get close enough to read the scroll, all that appeared on my picture was my eyeballs and nose.  Use glasses and set back.

The trouble with the Web Conference was that it scrolls so quickly that by the time you read and respond or wait for a response to a question, it is off of the page.

I do enjoy several conversations at once.  To the young man who wanted to get back on topic...Everyone was on topic.  They just were not on the topic that interested him at the moment.

The closest analogy I can think of is FISHING.  The old fashion kind where you put your line in the water and wait for something to bite.  If it isn't what you want, throw it back and wait for the next one.  Did I get all of the answers to all of my questions?  Of course not.  That is what correspondence with my IA is for.  I did glean a few kernels and had a nice time.  It was a fast hour of pleasant interaction with colleagues.
